Ivysaur pot plant wip by Teggy Ivysaur pot plant wip by Teggy
I worked some more on my realistic ivysaur pot plant. I know bolbasuar, ivysaur and venusaur are suppose to be toad like Pokemon but as I was sculpting this guy i was leaning more towards a tortoise style only because it’s more my sort of preference. Now I have to work on his other side :) and I found out I really like making wrinkly skin textures tehehehe
sorry for spamming everyone with these WIP photos ^^

....THAT'S AMAZING.  And I never type in all caps, ivysaur is just my favorite pokemon and I like plants. Why did I never think of this before... What material is it made out of, or are you going to cast it and make it from something else?

Cool, I've never used super sculpey.. do you think regular sculpey would work as a plant pot?

All the sculpeys are basically the same after backing but they vary from how soft or hard or colors they back before backing. So u'll be right :)

OMG That's flippin amazing!!! Can't you just imagine a rose bush or maybe petunia's?... Does it have holes in the bottom? The excess water has to leak out doesn't it?

hahah i did make sure to poked some holes into his belly for the excess water and thanks for reminding me, i ended up picking a succulent plant for this pot, i know its not the same but i think it'll still have the same effect i was looking for ^^

Who says they're supposed to be toad-like? I think they were primarily based off reptiles. It does have "saur" in it's name. Anyway, great sculpt! Clever idea making it as pot plant.

According to bulbapedia, bulbasaur and its evolutions are more like this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dicynodo… which makes sense to me.
Which makes this thing you are making so just right :D
The idea is brilliant and the work you've done incredible.
