Shen 2.0
i really liked shens old look but i feel its time for an upgrade, Shen was prancing away from her first form that was more dragon shape to more horse shape but i got nothing against horses i love them but Shen was never a horse so its time to re vamp her and turn her back into a dragon once again.

i really wanted to keep to her personality of being an elegant young lady, but if she wanted to could show off some power and speed and i think this body shape emphasises those qualities quite well.

I love the new neck, it is very elegant and majestic, but also feminine. I like the enlarged wing at the base of her tail, too. However, the leg change closer to dragon bothers me. I thought her legs before really fit her. The wrists being so low make me feel like she's off balance and will fall forward, and the legs in the back remind me of a gangly bird. It may just be taste though, and it's all in what you're going for as long as it makes you happy (:

I really like her neck too, a lot of people think different and I don't mind them having an opinion but I mean she's my character ^^ I can do what I want.
And I REALY like her new legs too i'v always liked bird legs and they were what I was originally trying to go for but I could never get my head around it when drawing it. Also she's a jungle dragon of sorts and I needed bird like legs that were fit for tree climbing and perching and I think there's should work nicely.

Now that you mention where she lives, I totally get the bird-like legs. It makes sense (: From an aesthetic point of view, I guess we just have a bit of a different taste is all. Like you said, she's yours and you can do what makes you happy with her.

Well, I love her anatomy and how elegant she looks. Concerning her colours, i liked the previous design more :c But she's still gorgeous!

Well, I loved her old form a lot more...not really a fan of those thin necks, but as long as you feel well with her new design it was the best decision to change it X)

*hugs back* no problem hun! i have always loved Shen! I think i always will, shes so original and wonderful. It makes me want to make Agua more personal to myself but i always retreat from the idea cuz i feel so uncreative. ;-;

but looking at her design again i LOVE those legs how could i not have noticed them as much before. I mean seriously they are so graceful! holy cow i love how long they are. And i really love the end of her tail. I think that would seriously aid her in balance (if people are arguing that she is off balanced)

usually i struggle with really bright characters.. but not Shen. I mean her purples and blues just go perfect in a way that doesnt make you cringe.
any how dont mind what the others say. she is your character what matters is that you like her.
