Snake Sculpture by Teggy Snake Sculpture by Teggy
This is the guy i've been working on for the past few weeks, theres a comic convention on next weekend and i had no clue who i wanted to dress up as but i still wanted to show off my artistic skillz! so i made a snake necklace.

I've made a snake sculpture in the past so that was good enough practice for this fella.

im also really happy with the paint job, i did start of with some references of ball pythons but after the head i just kinda did my own thing ^_^

i hope everyone likes him, i may think about taking commission for these kind of sculptures but it all depends if i can find a good enough supplier of the materials at a relative cost.

very nice sculpture, it looks really realistic. I love the colour. It reminds me of the morph "firefly". :) (Smile)  The body looks completly like a real royals body just the head is a little bid too big. If you put one of my real ones beneth it I think most people would need some time to find out which is the real one :D (Big Grin)

AWESOME! Ball pythons rock, and I love how it's wearable! If you do start making commissions for snake sculptures I would totally buy one!

OMG AMAZING!!!
That is so life like :D
I went to my local reptile store, and held a huge python. It was huge! I had it kinda like you have your sculpted one (Only it was just the head and part of the body, because it was so big I couldn't hold it by my self lol) and that alone must have weighed maybe 20 pounds (Or some where around there).

This looks very very nice, only thing i could critisize it looks like a baby Ball Python in big. I have a real one at home, and two adults, too. But its very cute, i think the one on the photo is a very young one, too. I love their big black round eyes, makes them look so friendly - i have a b/w picture of my baby ball python on my account if you wanna look at her.

Had me fooled; I thought it was real. Was thinking it was part of the pit viper family of snakes for some reason. Somthing about the head, and it's fat body with quick tapper resembled a puff adder. Great Job!

This is incredibly badass. How'd you get the scales so...scaley? Woudn't have the patience to do individual scales one by one.

I bent some wire (a paper clip) and made two round circles at each end one a little bigger then the other and pressed it individually into the sculpture ^^ took me three days lol

Awesome. I do agree that the scales are too pronounced and I also think his head is too big for his body size. Other than that, this is fantastic!

I agree the head is too big I had that problem the whole time I was sculpting it I'd scrap the sculpey away and think the heads too small then ad sculpey then the head was too big geese ^^'
And since I have never held a snake before I never knew the texture of the scales so that my take on what scales are like. But now I know for next time thanks for commenting

It looks so real! You did a really good job on it! I would totally commission you for such a snake (since I am not allowed to have real ones) xD At least I could then pretend and strut around with the snakey necklace!

That was one of the reasons why I made him. I have always wanted snakes but their mainly there just too look at and I could make the same effect with a sculpture ^^
